about

Growing up in Vienna, Austria, Julia has always had a passion for languages. Starting English at age 8 and Spanish at 14, Julia enjoyed travelling and exploring different countries and cultures. Her trips abroad inspired and motivated her to improve her skills and take classes in Italian and Greek.

After graduating in Spanish, English and Psychology, she spent the next 6 years working as an international flight attendant, taking her to Asia, Australia, Europe, North and Central America.

Fascinated by the rich and diverse terrain and culture of Mexico, Julia embarked on an extensive journey following the trails of the Aztecs and Mayas, taking her to Guatemala.

While enrolled in language school in Antigua, Guatemala, Julia met her husband Tim, became Julia Roberts and relocated to Destin, Florida in 2010.

Since then, Julia has been working as a full time Primary Teacher and Foreign Language Specialist at a local Montessori school, teaching German and Spanish to children from 2-12 years of age.

“I have always wanted to find a way to bring languages into peoples’ lives.”

“Learning a foreign language challenges us to think and  express ourselves differently –

the challenge is great but the reward is greater.”
